To get the full benefit you'd probably want to  invert the ZF too.

Dear Michael,                         That is a very good question.   I was told by Dennis Quella that in this tube frame race car, he wishes that he had planned ahead and executed a lowered mounting of the engine and ZF.   I am aware of one dry sump engine done by Quella for a Texas Pantera owner that was not lowered.                          A dry sump and lowering the drivetrain would certainly be getting very serious with expense, center of gravity and handling.                         I suspect that no one has gone that far, but I hope I am wrong.
