Hi Brian,

 

I have always used the variable resistor (pot) that came with the dimmer.
Remember too that I have always two wires to each LED and not used body
ground.

Larry,

Did you wire your existing lamp dimmer to this unit instead of using the
variable resistor that it came with?

Wondering if that will work.

I ordered 2 to mess around with.

I see Amazon sell a similar / identical one.

I switched to LEDs.  The dash dimmer doesn't work, but then, the whole point
is to make the dash lights brighter!
