Even after I installed the LEDs, I still wish it were brighter! The LEDs are green, so they may not be as bright as white ones. Besides, I replaced the dimmer with a volume knob so I could control the volume of my ashtray-which-is-now-an-iPod-dock...

Chris,

I have been using this low cost LED dimmer
with GREAT success in a number of LED projects. It can be removed from the case
very EZly. The board and control is very small. I have bypassed the connectors
and direct soldered my leads to the board making it even smaller.

Something to look at!

I switched to LEDs. The dash dimmer doesn't work,
but then, the whole point is to make the dash lights brighter!
