[DeTomaso] Si hub carrier - retrofit?

So, if you were to go to a wheel with the appropriate offset, could these A
arms/rear hub carrier be used on an earlier car?  Not cheap, granted, but I
would suspect a significant improvement in handling with the longer radius.

Here is the hub carrier with the driveshaft and wheel. You can see how the
wheel comprehensively wraps around the hub carrier.
