[DeTomaso] RideTech install fairly long

I am not particularly articulate but I have tried to document and
describe the installation of the Ride techs.

This is something of a description that I sent to a fellow list member.

I have used the Ride tech Shockwave #21150801.

I have purchased an air compressor that does 150psi from Harbor freight.

A pressure switch from ebay for the compressor and tank

A set of switches and a gauge with two read outs for the dash.

An additional single switch:

Air hose fittings from :
Automationdirect.com These are "T" fittings couplers and one way valves.

I also purchased 2 schrader valves with 1/4 push in ends.

I am using a re purposed small propane tank as the reservoir.

The airbags have been installed and they run at a the correct height using
95 psi.

The airbags come with 1/4" 90 deg fittings. On each side I am running a
1/4 250 psi line from the bag mount to a firewall fitting on the outside of
the trunk. From the firewall fitting in the trunk i am running a 1/4 line
to a "T" with a stub and schrader on one hole and a 1/4 line to the another
trunk firewall fitting behind the dash. From the firewall fitting under the
dash I am running the 1/4 line to the low side of one of the paddle switches
in the gauge and switch set up in the dash. The high side runs from the
compressor to the propane tank. then from the tank to a firewall fitting
under the dash then from under the dash to the in line for the gauge set up.
The gauge set up comes with lines and fittings installed to connect switches
and gauges for the bags. I am using the third switch on the dash with a one
way valve going to each shock line ad and emergency switch to raise both at
once.

I will be installing another gauge in the dash for the tank pressure and an
electrical switch from the dash to the compressor. The compressor has an
external plug fuse so I am moving the fuse first in line behind the switch
and then to the pressure sensor then to the 12+ side of the fuse holder in
the compressor. From the pressure sensor I am running a
1/8 line to the propane tank.

Still in the process of setting all this up - theoretically it will work but
I have been surprised before.

It looks as if I am going to have to add a bump stop to each side of the
suspension in case of some catastrophic failure. With out air the front
tires will take out the GT5 flairs.

This is sort of long and entailed.
