I paid a visit to the museum and factory about 5 years ago. Very nice time
place to visit.

As with many things you can pick up your new Corvette there. As I was
exiting the museum someone was picking up there new car. I watched as 2 or 3
photos were snapped with the new owner, his friend and factory sales person.
Very hoe hum photos. I walked over and said if I was picking up a new
Corvette I would be MUCH more excited!

I took his camera and said now let take some shots. I worked them up from
high fives, chest bumps to picking the new owner up. Handing the camera back
I said now that how one picks up a Corvette at the factory!.

Here's what has been reported as damaged.

According to the museum, the cars damaged in this morning's event include a
1993 ZR-1 Spyder and a 2009 ZR1 "Blue Devil," both on loan from General
Motors, along with a 1962 Corvette; a 1984 PPG Pace Car; a 1992 "1
Millionth" Corvette; a 1993 40th Anniversary Corvette; a 2001 Mallett Hammer
Z06 Corvette; and a 2009 "1.5 Millionth" Corvette, all owned by the museum
itself. No cars on loan from individuals were damaged in the incident.

This is really sad, I had the opportunity to tour it in 2007 and it was a
great afternoon, from the photos abaible online, I do not see how the
building can be salavaged and be declared safe and secure for the future.

Not joking.

This is bad, I hope that they can be recovered, I've been there and they had
nothing but spectacular examples plus all the concepts and the only 83
Corvette in existence.
