[DeTomaso] Aluminium intake manifold treatment

Thanks for all the replies and suggestions.
Can it just be an idea to buy a new intake and simply get the result I
am looking for?
Intakes are listed for $139.95.
Or are all these new Aluminum Intake Manifolds at Summit/Jegs/Holley
cheapo China reproductions and thus of less good quality?
