I didn't want to make my post too long so I didn't mention it, but to be fair there is now an aftermarket pressure lubicated plain bearing replacement that can be fitted to SOME of the cars that should be a permanent repair.

As a Charter  member of the PCA for the past 57 years, walk away, unless you're filthy rich, in which case you should find another Porsche. Depends what you're looking for. Style, speed,brutality,or "show off".

Buying an exotic can be difficult.

Then again, being a journalist and having to go to the dealership to have oil changed is probably even more difficult!
