I see the twist that Mike T is addressing and it is consistent photo to photo regardless of angle.  if that was a lens distortion it would shift.  From the rear view the drivers side is higher than the passenger.

Click on the links of some of the other cars and you'll see the same effect.   It's marketing hokum.
