[DeTomaso] Techno Question: the Pantera unibody "stethoscope"

Richard told me that sound from the engine can enter the rocker panel tunnels (right name?) and travel into the cockpit.  Based on that, he recommended covering the rocker panel tunnel interior panels in the engine compartment with dynomat or the equivalent.

Richard Barkley described it with his Pantera restoration. I think his article is still out there. I have his email address if you want- send me a private email and I'll share it. He may be on this email list.
