[DeTomaso] NPC good idea for mileage.

My 1999 Volkswagen Polo with a 110 HP turbo diesel engine does 47 MpG in daily use. It has run now 300.000 miles and nothing ever failed. So where is the atvantsge to new hybrid cars?
