[DeTomaso] Z-Rated 15" Tires for 7" and 8" Rims

Is it the speed rating or the traction / adhesion difference you're concerned about?

the speed rating has to do with being able to sustain high speeds, which does not necessarily have anything to do with grip. Grip is mainly determined by the softness of the rubber compound (and construction of the belts, etc, of course, but to a lesser degree.)

Usually the wear rating (the 130, 240, 400, or whatever number you see) is a good indicator of grip. As long as those are not vastly different and you adjust tire pressures to give yourself more grip in the rear (so more pressure in the rear) you should be OK..

   Old news perhaps but....

   [1]http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSearchResults.jsp?width=225%2F&rat
   io=45&diameter=15&startIndex=0&search=true&pagelen=20&pagenum=1&pagemar
   k=1&RunFlat=All

   Wish they had something for my 10's.....argh.

   What if I put ZR tires on the front and ran BFG TA's on the rear? Is
   this asking for trouble?
