Hi all
I finally got around to posting my video of driving on the complete Le Mans track at Le Mans Classic a month ago… in the rain
Video is here:

I did this 2 years ago and it was awesome – there was nominally a pace car, but you could just pull over on the 13,365 km track and let him get a good head start, and then go play chase. For all intents and purposes, it was our own private track. The opportunity to drive the Mulsanne Straight, the Dunlop corner, etc etc
This year it rained. It rained pretty hard, to be honest. We debated about whether to even head out to the track with the Pantera or not. On the one hand, the experience is sort of expensive - €150 for 2 laps – to just decide not to go. On the other hand, the wide body cars especially do not like the rain. There is also a rather serious gray spot in my insurance regarding coverage if something were to go awry. In the end, we decided to do it since it was already paid for, and just decided to be mellow.
Even being mellow it was kind of spooky… on several occasions the tires broke loose, despite only partial throttle. But I brought the car back home in one piece, so I would declare it a success
