Longchamp: This winter I'll rework the engine, get new transmission, and
rework rear end. Has started already. Some small parts need replacing while
engine is out.

I need a new temp sender to fit in the front of the Cleveland block, 3/8"
NPT I believe. Summit suggests this, has the VDO name in the description:

Does that mean I'll get correct reading on my 1978 30-70-110 C VDO gauge?
With the previous sender I think it showed too little, good cruising showed
at or just below 70 C. Might there be a resistor in the wiring I should
remove?
