It sounds like American Modern underwrites for several of the collector car ins sellers, so who underwrites Grundy's insurance?

It seems to me that the two most important issues are , #1 that they will underwrite your car ,and #2 that they actually pay when you have a claim.
Initially I was concerned about them covering cars with modifications but that is apparently not a major problem so long as any modifications are disclosed. The insurance company would be within their rights to refuse payment of a claim if you had not supplied accurate information to the insurance company. They will even cover someone who has made previous claims ( against them or other insurance companies). The member that was covered by Grundy and recommended them to me, has re insured him and sold the wrecked car back to him. I don't think one can ask for more ( or better coverage and customer service) then that! I hope I never need to put hem to the test. but I feel as confident as I ever have with a new insurance carrier and have no reservations about recommending them to others.
Sincerely,
Hugh Boyd Casey

P.S. Full disclosure , I have no financial interests in Grundy or any other insurance companies.
