Clarke...

Just went to the Pertronix Web site to double check the numbers! If you have the stock Ford Dist. with Vac. Adv. the correct number IS 1281DV!

Again Good Luck
Curt

   Clarke...
I dug out my bills from the Speed shop, and there is a note saying the
number IS 1281DV! So it looks like the Napa guy is right! When I bought
mine the first one came for a Chevy? (what the hell) Then they ordered
1281 which is for a single point dist. (two for two) finally they got
it right 1281D and when it show up the number was 1281DV! It works
   well!
   Good Luck
   Curt

The Number you want is... 1281D. It is a direct swap, just fallow the
direction's. If I can do it anyone can! The Pertronix unit works well!
As for the ZF gear oil I've used Castrol HYPOY C SAE 80W-90. I'm sure
   there will be other suggestion's.

Can anybody give me the part number for the Pertronix ignitor for a
late 74 with dual points? Is there any special wiring or plate that
needs to be installed or done or is it a direct swap? Also what is
   the
best gear oil for my ZF transaxle? Thanks Clarke Hamm #7350
