Yes the swirl tank needs to be a pressure cap and the overflow tank needs to
be a non-pressure cap. The reason it needs to be non-pressure is that the
coolant needs to move back and forth to the cooling system as needed. Pulls
it in when cooling down and contracting, then pushes it out of the cooling
system when heating and expanding. This works the same way in your daily
driver.
