[DeTomaso] BMW owners

My late (totaled two months ago.... RIP ) BMW 540i had 215k miles on it. Original engine, automatic transmission, and rear end with no issues and showed no hint of not going another 100k miles!
Expensive to maintain but oh the rush when you put it to the metal !!
     I found that, at least with the " e 39 " 540i series cars,
the owners do most of their own work. They have a forum which is a great clearing house of technical info, parts resources, DIY (do it yourself) remedies and members who live for helping each other with any issues large or small........ sound familiar?
