But until you've sold everything, it's just a big pile of junk parts.

Actually, each would probably be a great foundation for the creation of a 
vintage race car.   Neither is so badly damaged that it shouldn't be saved, 
at least on some level.   But you're right--the seller has totally 
unrealistic expectations.
