What do I think?

I think you have no problem at all with the cable. In fact, no problem, period.

You have, (finally after how many years of ownership?), noticed the speedo needle does not rest at "0" and that is true of all Panteras.

Look closer and you will see a pin that actually stops the needle at the ten mph point.

Why is it there?

I don't think any of us have ever figured that out.

So relax, and just drive Pandora.  ;-)
