[DeTomaso] Happy for 50 miles or so then not

Start with buying a couple of cans of carb cleaner and spray all the lines,
manifold to head connections, carb base plate while the car is running, if
the idle changes,  there's your leak.

I'd look strongly at the brake booster,  40+ years old and doubtful it has
been serviced.
