[DeTomaso] Early Pantera features

I thought the very early cars came with the two spoke steering wheel. Also noticed it didn't have the early seats with the vertical pleating.
I too saw the opening in the right rear of the trunk insert with what looks like a cap of some kind. Doesn't look like the top of the A/C drier so I wonder what it is. I looks like there is a removable panel next to the hole to view the A/C drier sight lens to check freon levels.
I noticed that the WS washer bottle was attached at the back of the front trunk opposite of the brake booster instead of in the front ahead of the brake master cylinders.

Dash-2 gear ratios, round edge bumpers and funny bulge with access hole in trunk insert are features I've spotted.

Tom,
Check out the details on this car: Unknown535
http://www.provamo.com/Members/Registry/RegistryImages/Unknown535/Unknown535.asp
As it is a July 1972 issue, (back up a few months for publication lead), there was little time for an owner
to customize this Push-Button.
Then note the emblem location …

I knew the early cars had tiny Detomaso and Pantera scripts on the rear end but this is the first time I've seen the Power by Ford badge under the rear license plate.

Hi guys,
Here's a super-early car, #1055, for sale in Italy:
http://www.autoscout24.eu/Details.aspx?id=235594808&cd=635096736190000000&asrc=st
Apparently, this is a what-you-see-is-what-you-get deal, i.e. the missing doors (!), interior bits, radiator, wheels/tires etc. don't come with it? Lost somewhere perhaps?
I'm trying to find out more....
Mike
