I replaced my clutch slave with a Pantera Parts Connection LC, long throw SS unit in May 2011 – its been no trouble, very well engineered.
highly recommended.

Boyd,

I think there are folks out there who can re-sleeve the cylinder with stainless and replace the seals. Might be better than new?

Subject: [DeTomaso] slave cylinder

I replaced my clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder in 2009 . I had lots of problems with the quality of the Master cylinder and had to wind up using some of the parts of my original Master cylinder to get it to work. I didn't have any problems with the slave cylinder but it has now failed ( it appears that the seal has gone because a lot of hydraulic fluid ( brake fluid ) came out when I tried to adjust my clutch and the rubber boot tore. It seems like it should have lasted longer , I have only put around 2500 miles on the car since the new Master and slave cylinder were installed. I am wondering if there are any significant quality issues (like there were with the master) and who the recommended vendor is to purchase the new slave? Thanks,
Boyd
