[DeTomaso] Clunking noise

I have had for years a noise that bothers me and has me concerned if I
continue to do nothing.

If I stop at a red light with the car in neutral I will hear a clunking
noise coming from the rear of the car.

I had the engine rebuilt, so I think it could be the transaxle or maybe
the U joints on the half shafts are bad or going bad.

Any thought based on so little information?
