Great video.  And finally someone understands that background music belongs
in the background.  The backfiring on deceleration sounds like you have an
exhaust leak, and it is likely near the beginning of the exhaust.

Just to explain for those that don't understand how a leak can do this, in
order to have combustion occur you need three things, fuel, oxygen and
something to set it off.  Normally in the exhaust system on a properly tuned
engine you may have two of the three parts in place.   Ignition source can
be any item in the exhaust system that is glowing, fuel will be introduced
when you close throttle completely and have enough rpm to draw fuel from the
carb through air bleeds, and any passages exposed to manifold vacuum.  The
third item, oxygen, will not be present in enough volume to support
combustion due to the source  is coming from the cylinder that just finished
combustion stroke.  If you happen to have a leak in the exhaust system, the
air volume from the cylinder not enough to pressurize the exhaust system,
and will actually pull outside air into exhaust through that leak.  There is
the third and final component needed to light off the fuel in the exhaust.

On cars with AIR pumps, there is a divertor valve in the system to dump the
air being pumped into exhaust when vacuum is high (closed throttle), to
prevent backfiring.

 I tossed together an amateur tribute video now that I have discovered how
much fun she is to drive.   Thought you might enjoy it - or perhaps
