[DeTomaso] maintenance / repair updates

Just to update everyone on my car issues-

1)  The non-starting problem (starter would not turn engine over) was the battery.  I had it tested, was bad, replaced, problem solved.

2)  I ordered a Robertshaw 333-180 "hat type" thermostat for Tommy to use and had it shipped to him. He said that's the type he always uses but from Stant. So I guess he was using the right type without knowing it.

The t-stat in the car was a REGULAR non-hat type and the water pump was a stock Cleveland unit.  Contrary to expectation, the car never overheated with that combination.  

This water pump replacement was done because I was fearful the OEM plastic-coated timing gears were in there, but actually it was a metal set in good condition.  I had him put a new Edelbrock set on anyway "since we were in there".  I chose an Edelbrock aluminum pump because it looked like it was made better than the one from flowkooler in the website pictures.
