Robert, I saw that at an Autocross when I was in college.
Since then, I torque lugnuts at stoplights for fun and piece of mind.

Speaking from experience If the studs are kinda short and maybe you forget to tighten them - you get to see your wheel passing you at 80 miles an hour. That's when the fun begins
