Maybe a solenoid for a parking brake?  A switch could just have one wire, a solenoid would need at least power but could be for a warning light?

Subject: [DeTomaso] NPC; Help Identifying brake device

I have spent the long weekend working on my KVA GT40 and I'm hoping someone can help me identify a device that is plumbed into  the front brake circuit. I have separate master cylinders and this device is positioned between the master and the tee where the front brakes split to either side.

I uploaded a couple photos to a POCA album here;

It has switched power on the dash with an indicator light when on. The switch is always live i.e. does not require ignition switch on, but whatever it is, is blowing it's fuse.
Anyone recognize it or offer suggestions?
Thanks,Julian
