[DeTomaso] Chassis to body alignment

I was chatting with someone earlier about the wheel arch gap.

 

We used this car as the example:

Some Panteras have a more obvious mis-alignment, while others less so.

 

Dallara laid out the chassis with every dimension chosen for a reason, and
same thing for Tom's body design.

 

I keep forgetting to ask Tom "What happened?"

 

Has anyone else asked Tom about this?
