[DeTomaso] Tornado

Hence the irony in my statement.  In Florida, I've lived through three
direct (eye passing over) hurricanes and too many indirect hurricanes and
tropical storms to count. I know that if you live in a well built house
with adequate elevation to avoid flooding or storm surge and are prepared,
they become inconvenient but not life threatening.

Tornadoes, however, strike with little notice and the only elevation you
can plan for is to be underground. In Florida though, if you dig 5 feet to
make a shelter, you hit water/mud instead.
