>>>It's cars like this that should be the prime impetus for the invention
of a time machine. With that, one could go back to the day before work was
first started, and take a baseball bat and beat the guy senseless! :>)

Clearly this guy had a fixation with Knight Rider and was determined to
build a Pantera in the same idiom.

The work appears to have been well-done (although it could be bondo
artistry), and yet the whole thing looks incredibly stupid. Notice that the
louvers in the front fenders were installed backwards!

People wonder why Panteras are not respected--this is a prime example.
You will never see a Maserati, Ferrari, Lamborghini etc. brutalized like this.
One can only hope that somebody will take pity on this car, buy it, and
try to undo as much of the damage as possible.

I wonder if the carbureted twin-turbo setup actually works? I have driven
two twin-turbo Panteras, both made in the 1980s (one of them was the red
car featured in the book 'Panteras for the Road' and also a couple of posters,
owned at the time by Dennis Fugnetti), and they were all but undriveable.
The technology of the day wasn't robust enough, and while they made lots of
peak power, the driving characteristics left a lot to be desired.

Now, with fuel injection and computers, a twin-turbo application is a much
more reasonable idea (although personally I wouldn't do it).
