[DeTomaso] Fun Rally Track Day!

Nice pictures!

David was very nice and didn't name names, but I will hereby freely
admit to being the one that tried to lead him down what he nicely
calls the 'primrose path'....

I had just touched 135 on the straight (lots of HP is certainly
impressive if you can get it to hook up at the beginning of the
straight) after passing David and realized that I was going to have to
work way too hard to slow down and still try to make the corner and I
didn't want to mess up the new baby and well... let's just say I
screwed up and used the run off just a little bit at the end of the
straight.

The instructor was complementary on how I handled 'the situation' and
David did tell me later that he was wondering if I was going for a
beer or something, but he correctly followed his instincts and did NOT
follow me!

I had a good time. Next time it WILL be with the Pantera.
I was just informed this morning that paint will be going on next week.
Maybe by the end of the month, I'll have my Pantera back in the garage.

Waiting eagerly for the Durango wrap up!

One can see the peeling paint on the track in this image.

During the day I learned why one is always told to drive the track and not the car in front of you! (Yeah, just about went down that primrose path right behind him.) Luckily, that car was "a little" quicker than mine and had put a few feet on me before the excitement started . . .
