Absolutely agree, Bill. One POCA member bought a '67 'Vette and a '64 GTO
at the Phoenix auction a while back, and spent the next 24 hours trying to
get a tow hitch for the Pontiac so he could drive it and tow the 'Vette 1000
miles home. Finally he saw the light & shipped them both. On arrival, the GTO
ran great for about an hour, then the distributor malfunctioned. The 'Vette
was taken out on a Saturday run with the Pantera club and separated a tire
tread 50 miles into it. Did I mention this guy was not a mechanic? By all
means if you buy your dream somewhere more than a day's drive away, SHIP IT &
debug the thing close to home!
