Hello all,

Happy Easter!

I'm taking a little break from the monotany of doing body work and have gone back to working on the motor.  I completed the 393C build last year and am in the process of building parts for the EFI conversion.

I've recently completed an in tank fuel pump assembly that I hope to use with my system.

My goal was to fabricate a pickup assembly that looked similar to the stock fuel pick up including the fuel level sender.  However, I wanted to add a return line and a fuel pump.  In this case, I chose the Aeromotive unit.

I used .036 stainless tubing and used the return line to mount a fuel pump bracket to.

You can see the assembly along with the stock Pantera fuel pick up here.

As you can see, I haven't completed the electrical hookups or added the short tubing from the pump to the hard line yet.

Now that everything is tig welded and assembled, I'm starting to worry about the proximity of the fuel pickup to the return line.  Should I be concerned about the aeration of fuel coming from the return line and mixing with the fuel being picked up?  It's been difficult to plan an assembly that fits into the small opening at the top of the tank.

I plan to call Aeromotive on Monday, however, I just thought I would throw it out there to the group.  I'm sure there is someone among the bunch of you that have experience along these lines.

Thanks,
