I suppose if someone were interested they might check if there was any
history on this car, as the VIN (3856) was provided by the seller.   

Now if there was some library-like resource that documented cars, with data
that survives changes in ownership, maybe include photos and videos, etc...

One might see a (very) close-up photo of this transmission... and if this
car had this transmission prior to the current owner, and so on...

Ah, sigh.
