Looks like the gas tank might have a leak.  There is one shot of the bottom
of the tank that shows dampness.

It seems many of the cars built around mine were painted yellow.   (Mine is 
3960).

This one was repainted a rather unfortunate color though--rather than the
bright, in-your-face De Tomaso yellow, this is a duller, deader, more lemony

hue.   Blah.

Still, the car looks like a solid driver, and a good 'entry-level' car for 
somebody on a tight budget.   Not an especially nice car, but not a beater 
by a long shot.

The bonehead who painted over the VIN tag in the doorjamb should be beaten
senseless....
