[DeTomaso] What Do You Tell People - It is a DeTomaso

I think Will hit it on the head with how I usually respond.

It's a DeTomaso Pantera (usually pointing at the rear of the car to the
actual scripts). This helps a lot of folks because they "know" typical
responses of "Make and Model," like "Ford Mustang" or "Chevy Camaro."
So saying DeTomaso Pantera clues them in that the manufacturer is
something they've not heard before....

... which leads in the next line "DeTomaso was an Italian car
manufacturer." Which then leads into things like:
- That's right, it was built in Italy, but has a Ford engine stock from
the factory
- Due to a partnership with Ford in the early 70's
- Yea... Ford sold them through their Lincoln Mercury dealers in 1971
through maybe 1974, which is why you probably remember them as a Ford.
- And after 1974, even though Ford broke off the relationship, DeTomaso
continued to make them up till about 1996.

At that point the mouths usually drop open and they either:
- walk away musing about their new intelligence
- ask intelligent questions about the car
- begin spinning some yarn about;
     - They didn't come stock with a Ford 351C, I know, I worked on them
at the dealer
     - They all came with power steering from the factory, I know, I
worked on them at the dealer
     - They started selling them in 1969, I know, I worked at the dealer

... at which point I usually just nod in agreement until they stop
talking, then say "that's nice, OHHHH look at the time I need to go get
a hot dog before the run out... nice talking with you."
