[DeTomaso] Puzzle for the gear heads

Sounds like the venerable Jaguar straight 6. I can't tell if its a 3.8 or 4.2 so I will guess 4.0 and cover all my bases. Of course it's British. It's unlikely to be in a mk II or a D type so I am going to guess E type.  Lets say 14 sex quarter mile. 

How did I do?
