Chuck, the gas tank needs to be vented. If not, you will draw a vacuum and stop the gas from being pumped and maybe collapse the tank. I mounted a rollover valve on the tank in place of the original vent fitting and routed a hose down to the frame away from the exhaust. Email me if you have any questions.
