Dear Charlie,
That particular phrase, I learned from my old professor of
neuroanatomy, P. Alex Roberts, Ph.D. A very, very colorful professor, who
would have made an excellent Pantera owner. In the research lab, he would
often use that phrase, which I came to appreciate for its descriptive power
and accuracy!
Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

Dear Mike,
The engine side covers' mounting? They're mounted
with three screws. One on the front aspect of the unit going horizontally
into a plastic fiddly-bit with the screw head facing the engine. The rear
two are vertical and also go into plastic fiddly-bits that are set into the
sheet metal.
Warmest regards, Chuck Engles

This may be the only known bit of Pantera esoteric that you don't
know. It is one of the few that I know. Decades ago I bought an engine
cover for a project with my 1974 Pantera L. I naively thought that all
Pantera engine covers were the same. Sigh. Nope. I had bought a Pre L
cover, which did *not* fit on my Pantera L. I believe that Pre L and
Pantera L engine covers are not interchangeable.

can't mix-and-match.
That said, you still didn't describe how your side pieces are mounted to the
car?
