[DeTomaso] Odd ebay listings

Yes, I'm fine with the 1887 part. But as you can see from the ebay listing,
people borrow stuff for dishonest reasons. And that's a good reason why the
VIN numbers in my pictures are fuzzy. However, I think allowing free access
to all the information (with some limitations, like the full VIN number) is
best for our de Tomaso community. But, once you publish the pictures and
info on the web you have no control of what is done with it. Often
upstanding citizens ask to use the stuff first and that's cool. Alex Roy
did not, but he is law breaker isn't he!

Over the years I've seen some really odd stuff done with the pictures and
info about my car. One of the strangest I found was a church group that
used the page on how to change the oil for some type of sermon on renewing
their faith! You never know what could be next..

So, you can keep your car's identity a secret if you wish, but don't think
that you are doing yourself, or anybody else, any favors by doing so....

P.S. I see that you have your car's VIN (or at least, the last four) listed
on your website. A good thing....
