They ARE called 'donuts'. Thry may or may not work on a Pantera. With Hall 
mufflers, my welded Hall brackets applied force to donut-gaskets such that 
they would crack within 50 miles or so. With donut gaskets, you really cannot 
tighten the flanges tight- the thick donuts prevent it- so vibration & heat 
tends to pound the fiberous donuts apart. A better system might be the 
steel dome/socket connecters that do not use gaskets at all but do allow a 
little articulation for misalignment. I personally use flat gaskets on the 
header-to-exhaust pipe connections with steel centers to resist burn-out. Good
