Roger, factory published numbers are 550 lbs for a complete engine without 
carb/air cleaner, starter or flywheel/flexplate. Stock starter is 16 lbs, 
stock clutch is 20 lbs with disc, stock uncut flywheel is 30 lbs and a Holley 
or Motorcraft 4bbl is around 8 lbs. So a complete all-stock engine is right 
around 600 lbs, depending on what you call "complete". Any aluminum or 
aftermarket parts subtract by about 1/2 the stock piece-part wts above. Hope this 
is not due to some local disaster...?
