HI guys,

Ask and ye shall receive! Got this from Stephane Bergeron:

====

 Mike,

You must already have seen this car.

Chassis n° is 8MA798.

It comes from your place, San Francisco.

The guy in France bought it from a garage in Miami last year in August.

The car was sold in the USA in sept 68 to a Chicago lawyer apparently, then
to Ron Will, corvette designer in DTW, then to another guy, Tessier ?,
and finally to a garage in Miami.

That's what he told me.

He claims the engine has been upgraded with an edelbrock intake, Holley
carb, 600CFM, alum water pump, oil radiator, pistons , camshaft, electronic
ignition, and 4 new tires.

He doesn't know anything about the engine, type of camshaft, type of
clutch, carb, etc .

He said it was dynoed, claims 305 Hp iso 230 Hp, but doesn't have any dyno
sheet…

He says it's the original color, but the car has been resprayed, in its
original color...

He says the original upholstery was beige, but you can see on this link
that it was black before.

He says it has a new vinyl beige upholstery.

He noticed the car appeared with a different red color on the link I sent
you, but says the door interiors are the same "purple" like color which
doesn't prove anything.

He has the original tool box, spare wheel, US tail lights , still red for
side lights, but he changed the speedo for Km/h.

Brakes  were checked , with new gaskets and seals. He didn't change the
rotors.

Clutch disc has been changed, but not the pressure plate.

Price is € 138,000  but he put a higher price on French site

You should know better how much he paid for her last summer in Miami with a
few phone calls :<)

That's it :<)

Steph.

======

Hmm, interesting! When comparing it to the car that PI sold (quite some
years ago, judging by the asking price there!), it's apparent that it has
been redone extensively. Why somebody would remove a proper leather interior
and have a new one created out of vinyl is a mystery to me though???

Mike
