[DeTomaso] New Here...

Welcome to the LIST! I can tell you horror stories. I had an Buick motor that did that no matter how many times I rebuilt it. I finally chunked it. More than likley it is a head gasket. The spark plugs may not show it because the oil leaks into the water jacket and not the combustion chamber. You will likely see an oil trail on the head gasket. Good advice on replacing the valves because the 4v heads have 2 piece valves that are doomed to fail. If you want more power the Aussie heads are great. If you have the heads off build them. If it still pumps oil at least you have a good set of heads. Good luck Bill 1362
