San Diego is a beautiful city, too far for me to attend.
Attending w/o my car would be like watching ( things I can't say here)
without participating.

But I wish that I could, for me, it would mean effectively three weeks away.
I would wimp out and tow it, take a couple of days to prepare, 4-5 days to
drive each way,
see some stuff along the way in each direction, plus the rally itself.

2015, may I suggest Savannah, Georgia with 2 racetracks and a drag strip (
1/8 mile about an hour away )
more than enough of everything else except elevation, lots of food, rooms,
things to do, and tours
from Charleston, SC to the North, swamps with alligators (boat tours) to
the west and Riverboats for dinners and a beach for
everyone not interested in cars.

OR

Asheville, NC.

Awesome roads to drive on, great city, lots of everything else except a
racetrack, but them their is
The Tail of the Dragon and no racetrack compares to that, a few roller
coasters, but no road racetracks,
their is a 1/8 mile dragstrip withing easy driving distance.
