[DeTomaso] NPC: BMW M1 article

Indeed, he did great things at Detomaso...Pantera, Group 4 and even their F1 program.

If we don't mention this to people at shows or during interviews for these articles, how is anyone going to know this?

Like most cars of the era, removing the smog equipment, US bumpers and adding things like an MSD box and more aggressive tuning yields much improved performance. Add in modern R compound rubber and carbon brake pads and the cars are transformed.

Everything from that era is much faster now than those outdated test numbers.

I'd still rather have a Pantera.

When the article talks about Dallara, they say he worked at Lambo, Ferrari,
and Maserati.  Too bad they don't mention his work with DeTomaso as well.
Didn't he also help with some of the DeTomaso race cars?  That's the kind
of publicity we need.
