Dear Jack,

the lower a-arms (facing the opposite direction) gives another -1.5 degrees.
Added to the max. stock adjustment of -2.6 degrees, the totals are
-5.6 degrees- likely more than one wants on the street, as steering effort
also increases proportionately. Now, if you also added $2500 worth of power
steering....."
As a true believer in more positive caster, I must give a
different opinion. I have about 4 degrees positive caster on one Pantera
with a custom upper A arm set up. The other Pantera has a 5 degrees
positive caster with the modified bushing technique. I may be insensitive,
but I don't perceive any significant effort increase on either car. The
benefits of the extra caster far exceed the disadvantages and the slight
increase in steering effort is easily managed. Power steering is not needed
at five degrees positive caster and less.
