Acrylics soften around 140F while Lexan softens around 270F. But there's a
massive amount of airflow up from the underside of the car and out the rear
window opening, so as long as you're moving, engine heat doesn't affect it
much. Try touching the rear glass after a nice long blast on a hot afternoon.
Its not uncomfortable to most fingers so maybe it gets to 100F. And an
engine fire usually breaks a glass window so acrylic is no worse in that regard,
