[DeTomaso] Spring rates

FWIW department, I just recently went from 'factory' springs and shocks to
Aldan rebound adjustable's with 400/ 600 springs. Before it rode like a
highly polished garbage truck and now it is totally different with a smooth
but firm ride that is rather forgiving over bumps, etc. I find it interesting
that all the different combinations out there are giving such different
results. Maybe beauty (or ride ) is in the eyes of the beholder.

Charles and others, it would be interesting to find out from folks that
went to higher spring rates and the effect that had, if any, on the body
shell, i. e. cracking at the known weak points of the body shell.
When I ever get around to it, I plan to install new "heavier" springs
that I bought a while back. I would like to get input from anyone that
has gone to stiffer springs, and has not installed additional chassis
stiffeners.
